Black Tower Elderberry

Sambucus is so easy, so useful and so beautiful, and this brand new one adds a narrow, upright form to the group, which means that you can have an Elderberry even if you have limited space in your garden! New leaves are dark green washed with purple, maturing to dark burgundy, especially if grown in full sun. Large heads of pale pink flowers bloom in summer, followed by red berries that provide a feast for birds. Very easy to grow in a wide variety of soils as long as drainage is good, it tolerates drought well. Grows 6-8' tall and 3' wide.
