First Light Helianthus

A pollinator plant with huge floral payoff
A new take on a natural favorite, First Light Helianthus is a cultivar of common sunflower. This pretty plant reaches a pleasing height of just three to four feet, so, unlike taller sunnies, First Light puts its blooms at the right height for viewing. You can count on this excellent performer to produce hundreds of golden yellow flowers in late summer, decorating the garden when other flowers begin to fade. Thanks to its native roots, this sun-seeker is highly drought-tolerant and naturalizes beautifully over time. Butterflies and bees love this plant. Leave the heads on First Light in autumn, and you'll be visited by songbirds snacking on the seeds! Helianthus salicifolius 'First Light' PP13150
