  • Light Requirements: Full Sun, Partial Shade
  • Foliage Type: Medium green, simple palmate to pinnate leaves arranged alternately and opposite on the stems.
  • Bloom Time: Spring through mid summer with a second flush in fall.
  • Flower Form: Medium-Large sized, 5-7", single blooms with enlongated petals, slight midrib texture and stamens that stand out.
  • Planting Instructions: YELLOW group vining clematis (potted, dormant or bareroot) should be planted 2-4" deeper than the current crown. This means you will plant roots,crown and come of the stem under the soil.
  • Soil Requirements: Good drainage is important. Prefers rich, well-drained, moist soil.
  • Growth Rate: Fast, once established.
  • Pruning: In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the YELLOW category. It blooms best on old vines. Use caution when pruning to retain healthy stems from last season for best flowering.
  • Winter Care: Apply a winter mulch around the base of the plant, especially in colder climates. Remove the mulch in early spring before growth starts.
